Preparation for Yule Ball

 

Excerpt from memoir...

As I walked down that old familiar road to the ancient bus stop, I stopped for a moment and looked into the beautiful rolling hills that lead to Bristol Airport and Chew Magna where we used to go to collect newly fresh milk from that farmer who lived under this big tube like structure and always made and sold his own dairy products. The Yogurt. That creamy milk that always left a little white moustache on the top lip.

I remembered that time my school had gone to his farm for a picnic and, instead of eating outside in the rain with the others, I had crawled into an empty pig sti, all alone to escape. To escape the rain and the loud whir of excited voices. To escape the hierarchy in the classes and to feel that little rush of independence. I remember not feeling like a loner but feeling like a Prince. And I wasn't a loner, I was just different and this wasn't always a bad thing at all. I had many friends and was coming acquainted with how to 'fit in.' Which was useless really, but necessary at the time for my realisation to occur all these years later.

Someone – you'll be glad to hear – did poke their little head into my pig sti. Someone I was seriously crushing on.




In my childhood it was clear that I had strong fancies and infatuations, usually on pretty girls my age but later on, with older, glamorous women. Maybe I just wanted to be as fabulous as them with all their crazy, dramatic, beautiful lives. These larger-than-life women acted as a kind of inspiration to me and provided hope that things get better and more fabulous. I was just a young naïve little kid desperately wanting my adventures to start. And in a sense. They did.

School was a defining time in my life, something that brought out my creative zest for life and not only brought it out, but nurtured it. Welcome to Steiner Waldorf Education.

I joined as a baby to 'Mother and Baby' sessions. Moving up to Kindergarten as a toddler. The focus being on play and creativity as opposed to plunging straight into education at the age of 5! In fact, I joined at 3 and a half and loved it! Painting with watercolours, baking cute little braided loaves of bread, sharing out little bowls of Semolina with a delicious cinnamon and sugar dusting on top. It was a child's heaven!

Have been working in the kitchens last week (glam I know!)

Also have joined the Morning Glories (local choir of alternative locals)

After rehearsal a group of us go to JayRules for a coffee & a heated chocolate brownie mmmm...

It's been an AGE!

Hey people!
I KNOW I have been such a bad blogger! But soo much has happened and is still happening!

I don't know where to begin...

Actually. I do.

Last friday I was in Stockholm with some friends and we went to see Patrick Wolf LIVE!
Now. I wasn't his biggest fan but ever since I was introduced to him I have felt this kinda connection to - well - his energy. Seeing him live was like seeing a long lost friend from a past life. We were strangers. Yet there was familiarity. There was intense eye contact and a moment where he reached down for my hand and sung his euphoric song 'Together' directly into my eyes. Now, I'm not going to be cringey about this and suddenly be like; "oh it was the most magical moment and I'm his biggest fan.."

NO.

In fact. Had I been in his position (famous) I would find the completely obsessed (to the point of near insanity) lip syncing, screaming fans a turn off, or, well - annoying?
Now I was guilty of singing along sometimes but I didn't react to him as if he was some kind of God. I acted as if he was human. Smiling and appreciating. Getting that from a fan from a personal point of view would be more special.

Anyway...

I had a fabulous time and just to quickly update you all now.
I will be working at a Mansion for a Hunt Ball on saturday.

Bring on the Champagne ;)

I feel as if I'm in a good place in life. I know I can't explain why to you all but I just thought I'd put it out there that I feel strong, fearless and ready for anything..

Friday in my Heart

Had the best evening ever last night with the Worlds Finest! <3
Cooked a 3-course meal (I love cooking!)
and then settled down for the Ultimate Romantic evening in...
Somehow it felt like movie. That was how amazing it was. <3

Today I went into town searching for jobs and there was some kinda marathon going on
but the best part was all the FREE FOOD! And Sausage Rolls for 5kr!!! I was like, "OMG I love this country!"

Tonight I feel like a party animal... I'm gonna live it up!

Have had an interesting week, went to clinic to get blood tests and heart rate measured etc
I don't usually mind needles but to see your own blood being sucked out! EW ahaha
Today I will go wild handing out my CV (to hopefully get a job!) PAWS UP

And I lost my phone!! D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R!
It may have feel outta my pocket when I was on the bus home after Pizza with Mio & Lina on Tuesday...

Now I will jump in the shower and then jog into town ^^

BACKSATGE POMP & CIRCUMSTANCE

So, basically, yesterday I walked the catwalk for King Carl XVI Gustaf  and Queen Silvia of Sweden.
Long story short; I was invited to a casting and was offered this show.
So... as a sneak preview, I have included a picture from one of the backstage toilets...

 The show went really well and we had to walk right up to the Royal Family and NOT SMILE!
Afterwards, I went into town, met some of the the other models and we watched the Royalty walk by on a tour of the sculptures in Borås.

Will include pictures of my Josefin Strid outfit when they are released!

Marina and The Diamonds is BACK!

With a new kinda sound and has almost finished her new album which is a concept album about the American Dream and the image and illusion that surrounds it. She has created an antithesis of everything she stands for called Electra Heart who stands for the the corrupt side of American idealogy. You can read a full interview HERE

Time Of My Life

Hey you gorgeous readers!
Sorry that I haven´t updated in AGES..

Internet is scarce here though, in beautiful Sweden...

Attended Stockholm Pride last weekend. It was awesomeness defined...
Dancing with the parade and you could just FEEL this overwhelming sense of Love enveloping every atom on your body. (Pics SOON to arrive!)

Am now in my new, cosy home in Borås.
Everything has far exceeded any expectation...

8 DAYS

So in 8 days I will be jetting off to Stockholm for PRIDE 11. I'm SO excited and especially at the idea of spending 4 - 6 months there with some awesome and beautiful people!

At the moment I am earning some cash doing painstaking jobs but each hour is one more cocktail heh ^^

I'm also HOOKED on 'Dirty Sexy Things' on Channel 4!!

END OF AN ERA

                                     



Haven't updated in a while! I'm sorry

But its been a whirlwind (not literally)

Have graduated from Wynstones and my last few days there were really special.
Now I am working and sunbathing and preparing for the next adventure, the next step...

In less than a month I will leave my beautiful England and jet off to Sweden!
I'm so excited but I also have this calm inside me that reassures me and tells me that I'm on the right track.

This month I will see my friends and family and wish them all my love and wishes as I wont see them in a while!

18 days

Have had a lovely weekend in Devon - perfect place to nuzzle just before the last 2 weeks of school. Ever.
Walking in the country to clear my head, clear my mind. It was like a rehabilitation paradise with sun included!

Will post soon as I've got a music exam this Thursday and then my final exam is on the 29th - a drama performance...!

Lovely Weekend!

Went straight down from school to see my maid of honour!
Went out later that evening with Joo to see the football (energy was amazing!) then went for a cocktail
in Las Iguanas and then a little salsaring in a salsa bar. Was hilarious and I probably shouldn't have gotten so drunk during 'study period' but what can I say? Could I really've turned it down and on Saturday I studied at her apartment and then back home on Sunday - Best weekend in a long while!

re-visiting my mind...

Okay so hello there!


Today I thought I'd include an extract from a stream of consciousness exercise I did in September!


I only thought of re - visiting this because I'm coming to the end of my time at school and looking back at how I felt at the beginning of this school term I'm sure would be a revealing experience!

So prepare.... 

" Pizza is far less on my mind than you .. well.. now that I've said that I'm craving the pizza.. we can have pizza, one day and I can lick that bit of tomato sauce from your lip and make you smile in that cute way but for now I'll sigh and ponder, work and get on with my life get back to the pizza, the parcel the usual happenings, the music and the dreaming, the foolery and the laughter – I sware I almost died that time when we were laughing so hard, that silent, painful yet irresistible laugh that you get on special occasions, yeah that laugh! I need to pee and I've probably written enough, people are probably beginning to get bored, but this is like a release – oh my pee needs that release.. I really need to piss and I probably shouldn't have included the word piss but then again I've used the word fuck a lot as well. Sometimes it's just gotta be said you know, fuckidy fuck I'm a fuckin' modernist after all words are only a variety of sounds its just our brains interpreting so why does the sound fuck sound so good? The two sharp consonants at the end and the buz of the f at the beginning? I think it's the F because Duck does not sound as good. Okay I've gone off onto another tangent, the desire to pee is slowly decreasing my bladder is like “fuck you then if you're choosing you're homework over me, we'll just come back in the least convenient moment” I can't believe people actually pay for someone to go to the toilet on them , come the fuck on people what is arousing about somebody taking a dump on you? Jeez, some people I just don't get! but each to their own, each for their own heh but at least the orange tang has gone from my mouth..

That lip balm really is unbeatable I bet you'll love the flavour when we kiss, I dream yes but nothing is unsurmountable, only if you want it to be and you and I? We're simpatico! together we can achieve the best! I'm not making promises, there's no need for promises, you shouldn't make promises but it's cute when you do, when you say I'll be the one with you on the red carpet, when you promise to call later and forget, I don't get annoyed about that, I find it cute and I don't stay up all night waiting by the phone because I know that I won't get any work done that way, I might as well get on with my life and if you call then that's wonderful, If not then I'll understand.

Well for now I'll get on with my life, I'll get home, eat, work, live dream, talk and laugh, cry and scream knowing that you're there, out there breathing the same air, walking on the same earth, looking at the same sky and the same stars. Yes I'll wish upon a shooting star, I've seen about 4 in the last 2 months I guess I'm better off without the Genie because I know I'm no Alladin, but even so I will dream of sailing round the world on a magic carpet with you because I'm a romantic and the time is approaching.. the time, oh the wait is bittersweet, exciting – not knowing what could happen and frustrating at the same time. Tick on, dear clock, beat on, dear heart. Live and love, smile and appreciate. Life is fucking beautiful."

So that's my mind back in September... is that revealing enough for you??

If I could go back in time I'd go back to the beginning of this year and strongly tell myself NOT to leave all my work to the last minute!!

It's actually crazy... There's so much to do and time just FLIES!
The Easter holidays have been completely amazing (in one way!) but work wise I have either just been so busy or easily distracted! What can I say.. its' the bottle neck effect - the final push to Freedom!

This weather is just SEXUAL

Have been listening to 'Do You Know' by Enrique Iglesias on the warm green grass in the amazing sun... mmm simple pleasures! ^^

Am feelin confident bout audition tomorrow but its gonna be the experience that matters and whether I get in or not doesn't matter becuase usually they like to see someone return to show their dedication and rarely do they accept 18 year olds so even if I don't get in this year things will be fine; travelling, working, piling up the experience and bring it on! hehe ;)

I now have a music exam then seeing my sister and her lovely class in 'The Wizard of Oz' Ohhh the childhood memories!
