Did you SEE the audience's reaction during the playing if this song? Don't you remember how Patrick told us how each time he plays this the reaction is "overwhelming" ??
First of all it is because that this video is the worst musicvideo I've ever seen with Patrick Wolf. Secondly he has dead animals on his shoulders, and it's not in a very stylish way... Third of al the song isn't good either, and I think that Patrick loves this song just because it's about him and William. And the audience likes it just because it's about love, and all the new Patrick Wolf-fans likes this song, and the whole new CD. It's nothing wrong with that, but this isn't Patrick, and I'm sure that he will realize that himself soon as well.
And the first "eh" was because you had used my pictures, and that they weren't even in the same way as the original. Besides, have you asked Erika if you can use her pictures? And in the header? Where you haven't just used it, you have fixed it in the way you wanted it.
I think the song is one of those 'in the moment' songs (the rising and soaring motif in the chorus) and yes, it's a different angle to his older stuff but in an interview he said that he had moved on from the hate he felt in 'The Bachelor' etc
Personally, I like it when an artist takes risks and doesn't necessarily sty in their comfort zone and Patrick seems just to constantly evolve. Which I love :)
And the pictures.. Erika was absolutely fine with everything but I apologise again to you for not asking before posting.
